Segmentation allows you to divide your main contact lists into smaller, more targeted groups based on specific criteria. Sending highly relevant messages to smaller segments generally leads to better engagement and results than sending generic blasts to everyone.

Why Use Segmentation?

  • Increased Relevance: Tailor messages to specific interests, behaviors, or demographics.
  • Higher Engagement: Relevant content leads to higher open and click rates.
  • Improved Deliverability: Sending targeted content can reduce spam complaints and unsubscribes.
  • Better Personalization: Go beyond `` by referencing segment-specific information.

How it Will Work (Conceptual)

  • You will be able to create segments based on various conditions, such as:
    • Contact field data (e.g., City is "New York", Job Title contains "Manager", Custom Field "Interest" is "SaaS").
    • Campaign activity (e.g., Opened campaign X, Clicked link Y in campaign Z, Did not open campaign A).
    • List membership (e.g., Is in list "Prospects" but not in list "Customers").
    • Date added or last activity date.
  • These segments will likely be dynamic, meaning contacts automatically enter or leave the segment as their data or behavior changes.
  • You will be able to select these segments directly when setting up a campaign, instead of (or in addition to) selecting entire lists.
